Source: New Straits Times Kuala Lumpur: Astronautics Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, the co-developer of Malaysia's first mini-satellite, MACSAT, said the satellite would have high-resolution imaging capabilities but would not be able to capture pictures as detailed as people on the ground. ATSB, in a statement, said MACSAT images would have a 2.5m spatial resolution. While the image would be clear and sharp, it would not pick up objects as small as people. The satellite is to be launched in late 2004. It is being jointly developed by ATSB and a Korean company. MACSAT will be ATSB's second satellite.
